Awsomeness days. We have had the four most incredible dives in my whole life these days. First we was on saxon reef, not to extraordinary but still spectacular with all the corals, angelfishes, clownfishes, the stalking sweetlips (they were like a metre in size so kinda scary) and cuttlefishes. Then we went to Herdy reef where the visability was like 15 m and there was every colour there is on both corals and fishes. Totally awsomeness. Then yeterday we had the peek. Just as I was fooling around at the bottom with the photographer i notices a wierd shape of shadow behind him. And suddenly this great big black mantaray appeared from nowhere. Approximately 5 metres above me this gracious 2,5 m big creature swiftly swam followed by a school of cleaning fishes. And I hate that I was so stunned that I couldnt even take a picture. So damn awsome! Then the second dive we saw all these cute sea squirts in every colour you could think of. Five stingrays, one a bit too close for my taste, one giant triggerfish, probebly the size of me (atleast 1,5 m) that was carefully watching and following us side by side when we past his/hers territory. Just simply awsome and thrilling.
Unfurtunatly there is a law here that yopu MUST be at surface at 50 bars, so I noticed a bit too late that I was at 50 bar, so I descended quite too quickly. I heared a plopp in one of my ears than NOTHING. Woooops. By the surface the pain started and I was really trying to ignore it, but when i was snorekeling it even hurt (btw I petted a green sea turtle :) ). So I went home, took some pills fell asleep and then my friends in the dorm woke me up for dinner. Took some more pills and when that didnt help i soothed the pain with alcohol a bit. Go tequila! :P so had a awsome but quite silence australia day with alot of dancing.
Today when I woke up it was still the same so I swallowed my pride and went to the doctor. And the wooops turns to WOOOPS. Apperantly Ive been really god this time. The eardrum was fine however whats behind the eardrum is a diffrent story. The reverse squeeze acually rupted the cochlea (snackan i orat) so according to the doctor I will now join the deaf people for approximately 4 weeks until it heal enough for me starting hearing again. Wiho! 70 dollars for the statement and 30 dollars for some pills later I accually feel kinda good. Found half of a watermelon for 1.5 dollars on my way home (8 kr) So, ill be taking my medicin with some watermelon and I will remember to never descend above 1 m/sec ever again. Damn it hurts for those who havent tried it yet :P
So tomorrow we flying to alice springs, hopefully everything will be honey and rainbows. 45 degrees and nothing to do than walk around for a while. Maybe thats what I need.
Anyway, three more weeks in this wonderfull country. The its back to freezing Sweden.
Hope you are all well, now its time for watermellon!
cya!
